'Man o' War bay' - Limited Edition Linoprint
An original, handmade linocut inspired walks to Man o’ War bay in early summer. This beautiful bay is located on the Dorset coast between Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door. It is a limited edition of just 15 prints.
This is printed by hand from a hand-carved lino block using traditional printing techniques. It is a six-layer reduction linocut, a method of block printing in which each colour layer is taken from the same block. More lino is removed from the block for each layer and each colour is printed on top of the last. This means that an entire edition must be printed in one go – once you have carved into the block for the next layer, you can’t go back to print more.
As each print is made by hand, prints may vary slightly and contain minor imperfections - this is all part of the printmaking process.
Please note that unmounted prints will be posted rolled, wrapped in tissue paper.
Details
Hand printed with Lawrence’s relief printing ink on archival, acid-free 140gsm Hereford paper
Design size approx. 25 by 35cm

As this is a handprinted item, each print will vary slightly and there may be slight indents in the paper from the printmaking process.
I have tried to present them as true to life as possible but colours may vary from photographs
